and with over 10 000 paragliding flights, you are in the hands of the
professionals! Parapax (meaning “para-peace” in latin) was started
11years ago in Cape town.
Programme Description
Day 1:
Cape Town to Hermanus Arrive at Cape Town airport where you will be met by your hosts, and
transferred to Hermanus, the village of Southern Right and Humpback
Whales and your first night’s accommodation. En route are 4 flying sites
and on some tours we have flown 3 of them…. On your 1st day in our
flight heaven!
Days 2 and 3: Hermanus A magnificent flying region right on the Ocean. Its also a world famous
whale watching hotspot. We often spot whales and dolphins from the air.
Optional shark-cage diving, Penguin colony visit, wine tasting and fine
dining.
Transfer to Wilderness on day 3.
Days 3-8: Wilderness Wilderness offers all flying possibilities (thermal/soaring) with over
12 flying sites orientated in all directions. Wilderness is, quite
simply, a paradise for paragliding!
This coastal gem on the famous garden-route has a unique beauty.
National Parks, where walks through the indigenous forest, exotic bird
watching, exquisite viewpoints, canoe excursions and stunning sunsets.
We go on an exclusive Safari at a private reserve. From an open vehicle
you will view giraffe, rhino’s, lions and buffalo, wildebeest, elephant
amongst others . . .
Equally, Wilderness, on the edge of the Indian Ocean, offers some
excellent culinary specialities. We lodge at the waters edge, right at a
takeoff site, allowing you to fly to your hearts content from dawn to
dusk!
Quadbiking, cycling, kitesurfing, Horseriding are amongst the array of
adventure activities on offer. You won’t be bored!
Day 9 and 10:
Oudtshoorn 60km from wilderness, this inland area is in an incredible, semi-desert
landscape. The Swartberg mountains and flying sites are unique and
amazing!

The world’s ostrich capital. We visit a working Ostrich farm to discover
the secrets of the world’s largest bird! Maybe brave enough to ride
one….?
Ride a camel, visit a tranquil waterfall, swim and visit the
mind-blowing Cango Caves – we do the adventure tour! Optional sunrise
Hot-air Ballooning flight.
Day 11-15: Porterville On route from wilderness we visit some remarkable natural sites, wine
farm(s) and taste some delicious South African wines.
Welcome to Porterville! South Africa’s long distance free-flying haven.
Numerous international competitions have been held here, for very good
reason. With a mountain range of over 75km, even beginner pilots can fly
30+ kms! Here you can easily better your distance record. On your
marks, ready. . . GO!
Day 15 to 17/18 : Cape Town Transfer to the Mother city.
Numerous flying sites but also the chance to visit the legendary and
imposing Table Mountain, Robben Island, our National Museum and gallery
and many other iconic Cape sites. Lions Head, and the Cape of good hope
or enjoy our beach culture.

ParaPax offer tour packages from 15 days to three weeks with a minimum
of 7 and maximum of 18 pilots/partners on each tour. We open our arms to
flying schools, clubs and individuals from around the world. Come as a
group, alone, flying or not, experienced or not, these tours cater for
everyone!
We ensure that you have the best flying (our priority) as well as a
tremendous experience of all that South Africa has to offer. We will
keep you busy from morning to night if you desire that or just chill,
and enjoy every moment!
Our accommodation is a minimum of 3 stars, but more often 4 star and
most often airconditioned.
We travel in style, Mercedes Vito and VW minibuses.
Superb steaks, unlimited seafood, game meat, ostrich, true South African
barbeques, and vegetarian of the highest class are on the menu.
We choose excellent restauarants at affordable rates.

This simplifies a starting date for the tour and gets us going as a
group. You can spend more time in SA, and we offer reasonable prices for
personal collection at the airport (€25), accommodation (€40pppnt) and
personal guiding fees (€65pppd).
You can join this tour before or after it has started, but this
carries an additional cost (Transport available to "catch" the tour or
leave the tour early to return home).
We only confirm your place(s) on the tour with receipt of full
payment.
